Welcome to Crystal Lake!
WHAT DOES A WORSHIP SERVICE LOOK LIKE?
A typical service begins with musical worship, followed by some brief announcements, engaging Scripture-centered teaching from our pastor, and a time of musical response. The first Sunday each month we usually take communion together. A typical service lasts about 60-70 minutes. Just to put you at ease, you won’t be asked to do anything that identifies you as a guest so you can relax, take in the worship service and get involved at your pace.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN I WALK IN THE BUILDING?
Our greeters will meet you with a friendly smile, offering you a hand-out with details about that morning’s service including notes for our pastor’s message. If it’s the first Sunday of the month, they will also offer you a handout of upcoming events at Crystal Lake. You can grab a coffee in the lobby and a gift bag at the Welcome Table (filled with gift items and plenty of chocolate)! Our greeters can also help direct you to where the Worship Center is, directly through the double-doors to the right.
WHERE DO I TAKE MY KIDS?
The registration counter is down the main hall, (to the left after you enter the facility). Our friendly staff is available to walk you through the steps to register your children on our check-in system, designed to keep your kids safe and secure.
Infants and toddlers (through age 3) can be dropped off in their respective rooms.
Children preschool-5th grade go with you to the Worship Center for the first part of the service. They then get dismissed for “Crystal Lake Kids” just before our pastor's message.
HOW SHOULD I DRESS FOR SUNDAY?
We are a “come as you are” church. Everyone wears what they are comfortable in: for you that may mean shorts and a T-shirt, for others it may mean a shirt & tie or dress. More than what you wear, we encourage you to come with a heart open to meet with God.
